Miru

Miru is a convert to our clan and our church, rather than a born member. That is preferable to us when possible, for to join is a choice rather than a given.

He came to us in search of martial prowess, and so we taught him that first. Yet he has learned many things among Utu's people, most of all his own potential.

Though he still fights alongside Ušumgallu, when the tides of beast and abomination flow out for a time, you'll most commonly find Miru among'st our libraries.

If you see him holding a book or scroll on some dry subject of war, a codex on tactics, or the history of some great hero do not be fooled. Most likely he's engrossed in a romance most sweet; for he has learned that his heart-word is Romance.

Though his tendency to obfuscate this is a blemish on his soul, it is one we ask that you not tease him for. There was a time he hid this even from himself, and self-knowlege is the first and hardesst step. One day he will be comforatble letting this love he has for stories of tenderness shine out like a gentle flame, and we look forward to that. But it is most vital he be allowed to come to that place at his own pace and by the light of his own conviction.
