Tonatiuh

Tonatiuh is a spirit of divine light who, although she calls the ethereal realm her home, spends most of her time in the mortal plane. She is one of the rare spirits that recalls the entirety of her mortal life before joining the spirit realm. To an extent, she even knew of her destiny beyond life. Tonahtiuh grew up with her brothers and sisters, happy and content with her life in the sea. She was always the responsible one, caring for her siblings as if she were their mother. She loved children. Throughout her life she always loved playing with the young ones, singing them lullabies and calming their tantrums. Caring for them was her greatest talent and pleasure. The strong clairvoyance that she had demonstrated since childhood was also a great aid in caring for children. Always knowing what was best in a given scenario to make a child happy was a very useful skill. Once she reached adulthood she became a doctor in training. She saved the lives of many especially many sick hatchlings. She was loved by many and had numerous suitors all of which were turned down. She refused to take a mate for reasons she would not divulge. She knew through visions that she had that she was infertile and she refused to burden a mate with herself. She also knew that she was not one to be long in the world.

One day, she became very ill. Friends and colleagues searched to find a cure to treat Tonatiuh, who was growing weaker by the day. She assured them all that there was no cure and simply smiled at them telling them that eveything would be fine. She didn't fear death. She had known for years that it was coming and she knew her destiny. No, she would never bear children of her own but she would be able to witness many miracles and help far more dragons than she had even in life. She died surrounded by her friends and family not even a week after showing symptoms of her disease.

As a spirit she now wanders the mortal plane, aiding anyone that is in need of healing. She has found love despite every vision she had seen of her future. A young poet named Tepey had caught a glimpse of her one day in the ethereal gardens and had fallen for her at first sight. The two became close very quickly and Tonatiuh is his muse and inspiration for many of his most captivating poems
