Sakura is a light-hearted, quick, sincere and perhaps a little too facetious dragon. However, because of his past, this is all a façade, a mechanism to deal with his situation.

He was born into a very large family and was immediately forced into the life of his very religious clan. Faith and purity were the main requirements for this clan, also including the belief in the lord. Because of these very strict rules, Sakura lived out of trouble for quite a bit of his life, just up until he was ten did things start to change.

He began to steal. Food, trinkets, apparel, and even children. His parents, terrified for his well-being, immediately put him in a therapy-type program, only available to those who were “tainted” in the clan. There, they were experimented on and tortured, those who worked there believing they were “followers of Satan”. Once deemed “normal” by his clan, he was finally released at the age of fourteen. Terrified of going back to that hell, he hid his depression behind a mask of happiness and sincerity.

Once old enough, he finally moved out and joined a clan where dragons resided that were just like them, some worse and some better off. There, he met his wonderful mate, Sundancer. With a great companion, he blossomed in an amazing world, his “fake” personality soon becoming his real one. With his wonderful brilliance, he quickly became a dragon who could easily change this cruel world, and even sought to fight against abuse and even revealed the truth about his old clan, getting (some) backlash from it. Despite his horrible experiences with them, however, he shares the same religion as them, but would never judge someone for their different views, and instead chooses to express his love in the Lord with others who understand.

But there may be more to it than this; he is currently still trying to perfect skills. He feels like there's more to enjoy in this world. Luckily he has wise teachers and great friends to support him.
