OFF fandragon of Zone 0
They/Its
Zone Zero (often referred to as just "Zero" or "ZZ") is rather old. They used to look down on their prosperous zone with pride at what they'd managed to cultivate. It was a civilization focused on uncovering hidden knowledge and encouraging endless curiosity.
However, like all civilizations it too crumbled away due to a slow yet debilitating disease that spread through the lands. The few that survived took refuge in the other zones, leaving Zero all on their own with nothing but crumbling land and plastic seas to look over.
Eventually a few residents came back and made their home in the only intact building left. It was an empty warehouse built near the entrance to Zone One. Despite being the only building that hadn't sunk into the endless sea it still was in poor condition, and Zero could do nothing to help. The damage done to their zone was also done to them, and they were now nothing but a husk of what they used to be.
Gone was their childlike curiosity. The only inhabitants already knew enough to sate themselves, and thus Zero did nothing but drift on wings of liquid plastic. They would never know the secrets that resided in their own zone below the only building left: a warehouse forgotten by time.
