Personality + Backstory

Chocodust is a quiet, and keen dragon. He always seems to be alert, looking all around him and scarecly speaking a word. he is keen and passionate, he can understand the pain and feelings of his packmates. Choco is apreciated and respected by his pack, as he is their healer and he treats their wounds. He is interested in herbal healing more than magic healing, which is rare for a fae. He is actually quiet hardy for his size, being able to endure lots of attacks without really being too injured.
He is one of the founders of Smeltedclan, although he has never really been fond of his home. Chocodust prefers cooler temperatures, and is not very interested in fire or lava. Although many dragons would give up anything to have the ability of fire dragons, Chocodust doesn't apreciate it. He would've much rather live in the forest, but alas, he can not. He is responsible for the health of his clanmates now.
Chocodust is not known for being talkative, but he certainly listens, and remembers too. He is entrigued by the stories that traveling dragons bring to the clan with them, and he has become quiet skilled at eavesdropping in. He finds enjoyment in hearing about the world.
Choco is respected by his clanmates, but thats about as far as any relationship goes for him. He doesn't care much for conversation and is rather blunt in his tone and expressions. Most of the dragons in the pack think he's strange, but they will still defend them as he is an important part. This rule applies to everyone except his mate, Ender.
Chocodust treated Ender the same as any other dragon, but Ender understood his way of communicating, and therefore built a stronger relationship with him. They are now mated and have lots of children who are serving for the Flamecaller or other packs.

{TW: blood, descriptive injury}Chocodust was born into a small family pack who thrived in lava. He had never really preferred it, but he would still enjoy swimming and playing with his siblings. He had a wonderful childhood, and he wouldn't trade it for the world. Everything was perfect until the night of the incident.
Choco was 15, sleeping his is comfortable cave with his little brother and sister. His mother had gone out to patrol the territory like she always did at night, and his father was lightly resting outside of the den. Suddenly, Choco heard a deep snarling noise. Chocodust heard thumping and yowling, and he noticed his father had left his resting place. He quickly woke his siblings and rushed out of the dark cavern to see waht was happening.
When he stepped outside, he saw golden blood spray infront of him. He turned in shock and horror as he saw his father hanging inthe jaws of a humongus beast he recognized as a fiendcat. The creature's eyes held pure fury and rage. It tossed his father down the rocks as if the fae were a scrap of litter. Chocodust's heart was pounding and he could hardly breath, not being able to focus his emotions on anything except terror. The creature lunged at him, its gaping firey jaws slamming down on his leg. Chocodust felt paralyzed as he was shaken like a piece of prey. He managed to focus and calm down enough to move. He swiftly swung his front claws forward and slashed the fiend cats eyes, causing it to screech in pain and toss the fae away. Chocodust felt fear sweeping over him again as he tumbled down the rockside, his body getting scraped and torn as he fell. He finally reached the bottom, colapsed in a heap of pain, and lost conciousness.
Chocodust opened his eyes, blinking to clear his vision. His head felt foggy and he had tremendous pain throughout his body. After a bit of struggling, he managed to heave himself onto all fours. he took a minute to catch his breath, then straighted his back looked at the battlefield around him. His body tensed as he remembered the fight that had occured. He spotted his father lying in the rubble. He cautious aproached him, his body freezing as he got a good look.
The green fae's limbs were shreded, his little body torn by great fangs. Chocodust was filled with sorrow as he realized his father was dead. He dropped to his side, letting the pain and misery overtake him. Why did that foul beast have to take his father? He didn't deserve to die like this.
After he got over the initial grief, he decided he had to look for his mother and siblings. They had to know what had happened. He made his way back to the cave and begain trying to track his remaining family. After about 5 hours of this, he sighed and slumped to the floor. It was no use. The scents of blood, ash, and death were too strong, and by the time that cleared the scents of his family would be long gone. They had left without him, likely assuming he had met the same fate as his father. He had no choice now but to leave and try to survive on his own.

Eight years passed by, and Chocodust had become well adjusted to the life of a loner. He had made a bit of a name for himself, tending traveling dragons wounds when they needed the service. He had an imense interest in healing, and had took the time to study and learn all he could. He preferred not to use magic and rather source his remedies from the little plant life he could find in the burnt lands. One day when he was gathering herbs, he ran into a slink. The fluffy tan creature introduced himself as Cocoapowder, and the two bonded over their strange ways of communications. Chocodust and Cocoapowder have been best friends since that day, and never left eachothers' sides.
Eventualy after traveling the entire ashfall waste, Chocodust decided it was time for him to settle down. He found a niced rocky place near some lava located in emberglow. The home reminded him of his brithplace, which brought good memories along with bad. He decided to settle there despite it. Chocodust carved his cavern out with the sharp tools he had, chipping and cracking away until it was suitable to his taste. It was a spacious cavern with a rock pillar in the center for support. He had lived there for awhile, enjoying the soft light of the bubling lava.
One day he met a female mirror, who introduced herself as Ender. She explained she had just traveled from other lands and had come here to hunt. She made sure Chocodust knew better than to threaten her prey, but once he explained that he only ate bugs, she calmed down. The two chatted about their experiences, and for the first time since he left home, Chocodust felt like he met another dragon who actually understood him. He and Ender quickly formed a strong attachment, and became mates. Together they decided to start up their own clan: A clan that was excepting of all dragons, no matter their status or what they've been through. This clan is called Smeltedclan.
