"This Clan, my mate and our home are my Charge. They were the ones that found me, and I will die to protect them!"
A massive and powerful dragon, Wrathflame has a quiet temperament but won't hesitate to throw himself into the defense of those he watches over, and his skills in battle are well-known. He grew up in a Clan focused on battling in the Coliseum, one where a dragon's ranking in the Clan were determined by how much wealth they brought in, and many necessities were considered privileges. For his own reasons, Wrathflame abandoned the views of his birthclan when he came of age to complete his own Search, fighting viciously with another male Guardian that had been one of his close companions growing up. The fight nearly ended with the death of them both, and it was only the interference of older dragons in the Clan that stopped it. He was forced to make a choice, then...either to remain loyal and fight for the Clan, or leave and never be welcomed back. He left that same night, the mad roars and curses of rage from his former companion following him into the darkness until he finally couldn't hear them anymore. Wrathflame is a dragon that prefers his own company, or at least he believed so until he had his own Clan surrounding him, and he wandered for a time until he finally settled down, discovering his Charge in the form of a small mountain on the edge of the Ashfall Waste at the border of the Windswept Plateau, in truth a volcano that had long since been dead, mostly separated from the ever-shifting and changing magma that fills the rest of the Fire realm. His immense strength came into use in expanding the natural tunnels of the mountain and carving out a living area more than large enough for himself, but for some strange reason he found himself pushing on until he had created space enough for a small Clan. It seems the Gods had a hand in his industriousness, however, since he had only spent a couple seasons alone in his self-exile when the first dragons wandered onto his mountain, seeking a new home. Before he knew it, a Clan was forming itself up around him, as if he and his mountain were the object of their own kind of search, and he's never regretted it since. His Clan is a small one, odd and a bit scattered, but they have become his family, and he defends them with all his strength. They were welcomed into his mountainous Lair, though no one was allowed entrance into his private chambers until a certain stubborn Skydancer who would become his mate let curiosity get the best of her. But his past will not stay forgotten forever, and Inferna's dramatic and rather violent arrival into the Clan foreshadowed potentially deadly trouble in store for them all. His Familiar is the Smoky Bantam Fangar Xeru, and this massive Guardian dotes on his tiny, fluffy companion despite the fact that he's slightly allergic to the Fangar's fur. A few sniffles are worth cuddles with an affectionate, purring kitty kat, and he can be found sometimes curled up on the ground in the sun with Xeru napping on top of his head. His mate finds this absolutely adorable, and she has been known to squeal at his cuteness, much to his embarrassed amusement. Inferna proudly - and impishly - presented him with his Pillager's Helm one day after going out to forage, saying that "It'll keep your opponents from trying to break your hard head!" and he accepted it happily and has worn it ever since, knowing that she worried every time he had to go out to gather what the Clan needed each day. No one is allowed to snicker at its silliness! |
