Apranomilous "The Devoted and Astute"

Apranomilous is the Clan's mortician, however bizarre and frankly underqualified he is. He boasts no training in the handling of the dead, nor in any aspect a clan mortician would be expected to fulfil, yet he carries his duties with haunting ease. He's quick and effective with his work, yet will never let anyone see a body again after they fall into his care. No one in the clan knows precisely where he comes from. Apranomilous says that they come from across the sea in the Tangled Wood, but one look into his eyes would discount any of those stories. He is followed by a menagerie of lanterns floating on golden magic, lit by ceaseless fires. One oil lamp in particular hangs on the end of Apranomilous' tail, the glass holding a twisting, shimmering magic that churns restlessly. On some nights, one might even see the heads of dragons rear their head from the lamp and twist among the lights. Though he carries a heavy aura of unease around himself, Apranomilous is the kindly sort. He keeps his humour with him, even as the nights grow dreary. Some attest that such persevering levity can rub the wrong way and swing right back around to being unnerving.

Seilran found Apranomilous one night while soaring through the steppes, where Apranomilous asked how Seilran's clan was coming along. While a bit startling, Seilran simply thought that news of his clan had already started to spread and tried to keep the clan's reputation up. He refused to admit that it was still weak and struggling to gain respect and stability. However, Apranomilous saw through his facade and offered to be the clan's mortician under one condition: No one can ask any questions about the how and why of Apranomilous' methods. Desperate for more roles to be filled, Seilran accepted Apranomilous' offer. Now, many note that Seilran will never consider replacing Apranomilous.
