Biography
Dossinian was acquired without iridescence. Originally intended for Spiranthes, they did not mesh well. We applied the primary gene and low and behold, Gaia was interested. The pair are currently sitting a nest of 4 eggs. They truly represent the avian tradition where the male is brighter than the female.
Dossinian enjoys roosting in treetops, displaying his plumage to best effect. He is very persnickity about apparel; he does not like to cover his natural (gened? ) beauty. The male SD is cheerful, slightly self-centered, and easy to get along with (so long as you acknowledge his superlative attractiveness). It is amazing that he looks on Gaia with favor as her coloring is more subdued. But make no mistake, she is the dominant partner in the pairing.
The male has condescended to wear an accent. We did not think it was possible to increase his sense of self-worth. We are going to have to hide the mirrors in the lair if he doesn't stop preening!
