Aurora
Sylphina's resident scientist. Aurora was exiled for years after preforming an experimental breed change on Coconut Cake. After his exile, the then Ridgeback dragon retreated into a cave, only to return years later as a Skydancer. Aurora is currently hiding from the crew of The Algernon after Asbestos was infected by a parasitic fungus he created. He hasn't disclosed the danger he's in to the clan.

Aurora rifled through his satchel, quickly going over the items he'd collected during one of his rare trips outside. Surely this would be enough to sustain both him and his experiments for at least another few months. He slinked through the hidden entrance of his cave, covered in twisted vines and thorns he was sure his fathers would've been proud of. Though the thorns were inconvenient and perhaps not the greatest choice, they certainly provided an extra layer of protection. Aurora always looked forward to his return, curling up on his cot or pouring countless hours over an experiment, the cowardice of the outside world was simply not for him. Today however, this was not the case. Upon entering his home Aurora found nothing but destruction. Glass shattered and papers thrown, his once pristine workspace was nothing of what it had been mere hours before. Years worth of research reduced to nothing, collected specimens and experimental substances lie in the remains of jars and petri dishes. What had happened?! Had something gotten in? Some animal or Lightweaver forbid some dragon?! Aurora's eyes dragged over to a specific dish, white powdery fungus that slowly spread from its once contained area, already beginning to consume nearby rocks and glass. An experimental creation of his, a rapidly spreading parasitic fungus that entered through open wounds and could grow on practically any surface. And the small spots of blood on the floor could only mean, presumably, and hopefully, one thing. He smiled to himself. That's what they deserve for ruining everything that was dear to him! Maybe that'll teach them a thing or two about destroying others property. Because of them, he'd have to pack up all his things and move somewhere entirely new, starting years worth of research over from scratch. Aurora huffed, beginning to work on cleaning up the mess, trying to salvage as much as he could. Where was he to go now? Another cave, of course, but where? With his ability to dig long sprawling tunnels gone, it'd surely be hard to find another. He'd have to make sure this one was hidden even better. He couldn't have something like this happen- His ears perked up, turning toward the back exit of his cave at the sound of a falling rock. Someone was coming. Aurora rushed into one of the hastily dug tunnels under his cot, one he had dug when he still had claws, it was now far too big for him, but it would work for whatever was coming. Was it his clan? Realizing what a mistake his exile was? No. It couldn't be. Not unless Yersinia had ratted him out, which, in all honesty, wouldn't be a surprise. Poking his head out, he could hear the crunch of glass under boots, watching as what seemed to be at least 3 dragons walked around his home. One with thin pink claws not unlike his own lifted the powdered fungus into their hands. "This is it." Their voice said, rubbing it between their claws before letting it fall to the floor. They then began scanning the scattered papers around them. "Find anything you can," Another said "We have no idea what we're dealing with here." One stopped just short of him, their blue claws pulled open the latch on his abandoned satchel, emptying the contents onto the floor. "Fresh." They said, crushing a collection of berries under their foot. "Keep looking. Can't of gotten far, there's gotta be something here." "Prismarine." Aurora's attention was drawn to the other voice, the voice clutching an old worn photo of him and his fathers. Oh. Oh no. |

his outfit really gives off mad scientist vibes and i was not disappointed when i read his bio!! love the bright popping colors that contrast with the contour and the bandages. I was gonna say man, i didnt know FR had lab coats then i did a double take and i was like hollup thats not a lab coat so u did a good job in portraying that! also pink in a lot of things symbolize corruption and disease so thats a super nice detail

Wow, bright! The juxtaposition between the incredibly bright genes, versus the down to earth apparel is great. It really gives the vibes of a scientist gone wrong, who pushed at what he shouldn't have, and doesn't know how to fix it yet somehow doesn't want to. Plus, his bio made me giggle (tbf most of the bios did)
