Blood Curse// Lightweaver's Ire, Shadowbinder's Mercy
Lightweaver's Ire// The Scathtire turned away from the Lightweaver's light and glory. At first it began as honest research into the darker magics. On a research journey to the Tangled wood, the ire struck them. Scales burning and fusing under the wrath of the sun and plunging from the sky. The event left them permanently scarred. During their research they found themselves unable to use their lightborn magic, and journeying past the brambles of the tangled wood burned them.
Shadowbinder's Mercy// The Atriarch found mercy under the gaze of the Shadowbinder. A dark ritual would carve runes into their scales, allowing them to serve as a focal point for their spells. Under the mercy the darker talents of the Scathtire would be strengthened. In the case of the Atriarch their talent for alchemy and potions, and forging mental links with fellow dragons to communicate.

Familiar // Deirdre
-- Role of familiar // An Aer Phantom that attached itself to the wayward Atriarch. They spawn the wisps of heralding the arrival of Ernmas. When they are busy making potions, Deirdre will fetch meals and ingredients for them. On the rarest occasion they have served to communicate with the hatchlings of the Atriarch.
