Biography

BOBBY-JOE
Director

The moment was arriving. Bobby-Joe held the glass with just the tips of her cerulean claws, but her grip was like a hawk clamped down on its prey. She lightly tossed the rich caramel liquid inside with a tender swirling motion of her limp wrist; but the dragon didn’t dare take a sip, not yet. The chair that held her large frame was not a comfortable one, still she leaned into it and held her untroubled demeanor. Even as her spine screamed. A coy smile crossed both her faces even though she wasn’t amused. That wasn’t the point.

To anyone not of this world the posturing would seem inane, the subtleties implied with every action taken flying under the radar. To each other these signals had an importance equal to life or failure. “I am just like you,” and that’s almost all they need. Of course they couldn’t say it, perhaps not all of them consciously thought it. It was wrapped up and packaged in black suits, 5-star restaurants, and the oaky aroma of bourbon.

“You’ve done a nice job with the factories,”

Finally, a word.

Her right head now took a small sip of the drink. With her left she gave the Chief of Operations a half nod, complimented by a tacky point of her finger. Bobby-Joe looked pleased, but she was careful not to smile too exuberantly.

“Thank you, sir.” The Chief of Operations, an unsightly Guardian, shifted in his massive chair.

It was more comfortable than Bobby’s and she could tell it was worth a fortune. Its frame was constructed of birch from the Starwood Strand, giving it a soft otherworldly glow. The plump maroon cushions were clearly of Dragonhome make - Definitely Roc feather filling. Exquisite. Bobby-Joe’s blood rushed at just the sight of it.

“I wanted to speak to you about the promotion to Head Director,”

The moment was here.
