Biography
Anatola
sunset goddess
sunset goddess
|
The sun set, spreading beams of light across the sea. Anatola sat comfortably, her silken sash fluttering in the breeze. The teal-colored dragon sighed, feeling the cold seep through her wings, and wondered if she should move to a warmer location. Her mind wandered as she watched the ocean waves crash upon the rocks below the cliff where she lay. A large fin popped up and then dove beneath the surface and she relaxed, taking in the soothing sounds of nature. She had always loved the sea, ever since she was hatched, even if she was supposed to be from the land of fire. As night descended upon the sky, the dragon looked up. Stars began to twinkle, as though they were celebrating the new day that had been granted. The sunset goddess had always enjoyed the nighttime, with its starry sky and quiet solitude. A voice startled Anatola out of her daze. "I'm back, Anatola!" Anatola snapped back to reality, realizing that she wasn't alone. "Oh, it's you..." The dragon yawned, stretching out her long neck. "Come to bother me again?" "No! Not at all," the other dragon said quickly, throwing in a nervous chuckle. He was young, with turquoise spots on his shoulders, wings, and tail. He looked around for a moment before saying, "Are you hungry? I have some meat in my sack." Anatola rolled her eyes. "For the millionth time, I only eat plants and insects." She shook her head and got off the cliff. She moved down into the water so that she could look up at him. "You're really annoying, you know that right?" The young dragon started to sweat. His turquoise scales glittered as he rubbed them against each other, trying to cover up his fear. "Y-Yeah... I guess...But maybe you could be a little nicer," he added shyly. The dragon scoffed but her eyes softened at the expression of the spiral in front of her. "Fine. Just don't bug me too much, alright?" The turquoise-colored dragon's ears perked up. "You mean it?" "Yes, I mean it. Don't ask me about this again." She turned around, but not before she caught the beam on the other dragon's face. Shaking her head, she ducked under the water again, hiding the small smile that spread on her own face. That little dragon was going to be the death of her. |
