Biography

 D I O N Y S U S It/its Curious | Gentle | Honest Dionysus was raised by an elderly couple who owned a farm in the gladeskeeper's territory. It was found as an abandoned egg by the two, after they tried in vain to have hatchlings of their own. It was slowly introduced to tending to the farm, and keeping up with the chores alongside it's parents as it grew older. Eventually, Dionysus grew impatient to venture out on it's own, and after some persistent nagging was given supplies, and some items to remember its' parents by. Dionysus ran into Durga's clan when searching for a place to settle down in return for dedicated work and farming. It was quickly ingratiated into the clan's hierachy and it often met with Durga quite commonly as part of it's delivery of food for her cooking. |

Dionysus waited anxiously as it's partner's eyes scanned the letter. A summons from the gladeskeeper, gosh... it thought. It's claws tapping the ground in a pattern as it waits. Durga finishes reading and she turns. As Durga explains the summons, the purpose and where they shall be travelling, Dionysus finds itself panicking slightly. Durga reassures it that all will be well, they are meeting on neutral ground and that honestly, the two hardly have a choice and begrudingly, they prepare for a long journey. Dionysus and Durga set off the following morning, supplies abundant and some familiar mementos stuffed into Dionysus' bag. No stranger to travelling, Dionysus is well prepared, although this is it's first time with company... it finds itself excited to have such an opportunity with it's partner. |

As they arrived at their destination, there was a large wooden table with 11 books laid upon it. Each book had a different elemental rune carved into it's face, glowing softly with coloured light. Dionysus watched as Durga kept a close eye on the other dragons present. It waited nervously for anyone to speak, the crowd stood motionless in their pairs. That is, until, a brave light dragon ran forwards and snatched their book into their claws. It became a free for all from here; dragons rushed the table before Dionysus could even process it. Seconds later, Durga returned to it's side (when did she leave?) With a book in her claws. She opened the book gently and her eyes widened as she read their mission. Dionysus patiently waited for her to finish, then queried as to the nature of the message inside. It was surprised to hear such a direct stance from the diety that created them, but was thankfully happy as the thought of dominance never truly agreed with it. If Durga was dedicating her life to this mission, regardless of whether it had a choice or not, so would Dionysus. And from here, the two were determined to start. |
