A bibliophile and agoraphobe, Seluiss really can't stand other people most of the time. Sure, they know how to handle them and can work with them, if they have to, but if offered the choice to retreat in their room with a bunch of books, no amount of gold or glory could make her change her mind. The only reason he accepted that one job outside of her library temple was because the elder acolytes kept disturbing him in his reading time and she just wanted them to stop whining. And okay, maybe, in a deeply repressed part of their brain, they did like the idea of going on an adventure and gaining real-world knowledge. Maybe.
