Arcwine

When the mage Arcwine meant to steal the high priest's powers by siphoning his essence, she misjudged her own mastery. As she tried to fuse his powers with her own, she realized that their combined magic would be too much for her to contain safely, threatening to tear her apart. In a desperate attempt to save her own life, she severed her connection to her innate elemental essence. From this perversion of the process usually meant to shape new dragons, an amalgam of magic formed.

Now, Arcwine ist but a husk of her former self. Without elemental allegiance and shunned by her clan, she is confined to a small hut in Darkcloud Harbour, where she mends broken nets and weaves new ones as penance for her deed.

While she knows of Mani's existence, she will not acknowledge the mirror-shaped amalgam as anything but a freak of nature.

Some of the more mellow-hearted residents of the Harbour have attempted to befriend her, something she only sneers at, loudly proclaiming that she wishes she had been exalted instead of being condemned to perform petty chores for fools. However, while she would never admit it, Arcwine is terrified of the prospect of facing her lost god after having forsaken Him, secretely glad that this is her punishment instead.
