Biography

Northeast of the highland sanctum and past the large boulder, the land drops off into the sea. Down along in that cliff wall is the entrance to a complex maze of burrowed caves. This is where it all began for Aurora, and her brother. It was obvious, quite early, that Aurora felt stifled in the Earth domain, in whence she hatched into. Brealynn was not expecting her 2 perfect eggs to hatch so soon, so when Equinox alerted her to one of the eggs cracking, she was sure he must have been joking. It was April Fool's Day, afterall. However, he was not. Quinn, Aurora's brother, hatched first. Soon after, Aurora's egg exploded open and she made herself known to the world. She was named for the beautiful, but mysterious lights, that dance along the horizon's edge, which were clearly visible and, unusually bright, that night. As soon as she gained the ability to fly, she set off on a mission to find a place that spoke to her heart and felt more like home. She loved her parents and clan but, how could she stay when she was surrounded by nothing, but dirt and pretty rocks!?!
Before she took flight Lancelot, pulled her aside and gifted her a beautiful pair of sapphire feathered wings. He was known as sort of an inventer in the clan and, while the wings weren't really anything special, originally, he tinkered with them to make them very special. He said "I like you and I have a good feeling about your future. I'd like to give you this pair of wings, they have been modified with pockets. And, as you may have noticed, are dark blue, to help keep you camouflaged while flying at night. An arcane friend of mine, also put a protective charm on them. That friend happened to have a vision, while doing so, and told me to add, yet, another pocket.. So I did. She said you would need it. She didn't say anything more on the subject. Good luck kid!!" And then he turned and headed off to work. She yelled out to him "Hey!... Um... Thank you!.. and please thank your arcane friend, for me, as well". He simply looked back, and with a nod of his head, acknowledged her request. She spread her wings and took flight.

She flew south, skimming the edges of Earth and Nature territories. She contemplated looking for a nature clan to take her in, but something told her to keep moving. After awhile, she found herself entering Shadow territory. She had not taken enough breaks in the day and was in desperate need of one. She didn't relish the idea of resting there but she just couldn't make it back across to Nature.. at least flying. So she landed in the Tangled Wood, near the Dusk Sanctum. This place was creepy. She headed south, along the water, hoping to find a bridge she could cross to get out of this place. This was not good. It had gotten dark and she had found herself in a forest. She could appreciate the curiosity of the glowing mushrooms, but that was about the only charming thing about this place. There were creepy mutated bugs & animals about, rustling in the bushes, & strange smells on the air.... But the creepiest thing of all was the constant hum of disembodied laughter and giggles. It really was enough to drive a sane dragon into madness. It started to rain. Not sure exactly what that rain might actually be or the effects it might have on.... anything, she sought out shelter She came across an old shack. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't very big (she'd have to be careful), but it had a roof and it was solid. She took shelter. She didn't think it was possible but she, soon, drifted off to sleep. She awoke to a strange slopping flop of a sound. She groggily opened her eyes, temporarily forgetting where she was, despite her strange dreams. As her eyes focused, she saw a strange, yellowish, blob in front of her. As she yawned, out of her eye, she could've sworn she saw the blob...open it's eyes?!!??? She cautiously looked back down at it and found that, indeed, not only did it have eyes, it was also smiling at her.
"WHAT THE???" Was all she managed to mutter as she quickly stood up, but not remembering quickly enough that she was in a small space, and bumping her head hard on the roof of the shack. She fell back to the floor and lost consciousness. When she awoke, once again, she saw the blob again, it had moved farther from her, well as far as it could in the limited space. This time, she could've sworn it had a look of concern on its (kinda cute) little face. She reached up to feel the lump on her head. It was there and it was sore but not as much so, as she would have expected. It was also slimy. Expecting to see blood on her paw (claw?) When she looked down, she was surprised to see actual slime. She looked at the blob, who looked back and raised an invisible lobby eyebrow at her, as if asking "we ok?"
She asked it if it did something to help the bump on her head. It seemed to stand up and jut it's chest out in pride.
She said thank you and the slime cautiously started towards her. She decided it couldn't be that bad if it helped her while she was at her most vulnerable. Even if she didn't really want to know exactly where or what the slime, it left on her head, was. She noticed it kind of jiggle and got the sense it was shivering. The temperature had dropped quite a lot.
"Are you cold?" She asked.
It seemed to nod "yes".
"Here, I think I know of just the place for you". She lifted it up and placed it in the extra pocket in the blue wings she was given.
"Wanna join me on my travels?" She asked. The slime looked at her with adoring eyes, gave her a little smile, and nestled down into the pocket.

Now that she was rested up, she decided it was time to get out of this place. Once again, she took to the skies.. this time she headed east. She flew over nature territory and decided to stop for a bite to eat on the southern edge. As she was eating her foraged berries, and offering some to her new friend, she happened to hear a noise. She looked up and saw another dragon standing in front of her. At first she was startled because of his wild look. He had a striped body and spotted wings in shades of purple and green and his belly seemed transparent and full of liquid.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to startle you" he said. His voice was angelical.
All she could do was stare at him in awe, for a time.
"Are you alright?" He asked. "Are you lost?"
Her new friend, the slime, which she had decided to call Bobby the blob, must have sensed that this situation called for some intervening. He popped up and landed on the ground between the two and jiggled a jig (a dance). The stranger immediately struck a defensive stance, which shook Aurora from her paralyzed one, to defend her friend should the stranger attack it. However, the stranger started laughing
"What is that thing & what is it doing?
With Bobby not in danger, and the stranger laughing his gorgeous laugh, she said, "Um, I'm not entirely sure, but he's my friend and I think he's dancing?" And she started laughing too..
With the tension broken, the stranger introduced himself as Aden and the 2 talked long into the night before realizing they had talked long into the night. They probably wouldn't have noticed at all, had Bobby not plopped down with a yawn and fell asleep.
"Oh my, it's late, I better get home" Aden said.. "he sure is cute, is he... Snoring?"
Aurora giggled "I think so"
"I know you're traveling, do you need a place to stay for the night .. or longer, maybe" Aden asked
"Yeah. That'd be great"
"Follow me then" he said

Together they flew the short distance to his home clan in the light territories. Although it was dark, she knew, not just from the looks/feel of the place, but the feeling of home she got... From him... She WAS home.... And Bobby, too, of course
