Aquarius

Zetranexus. A galaxy swimming with water dragons, much like Aquarius herself. Aquarius grew up in a home where all she was taught was to be polite and to fit in. She was taught to never abandon those who loved her, and to always be appreciative of what she has been given. Because that was what she was taught to do, that’s what she did. She always loved her family and her planet, as it was as perfect as it could be in her eyes.

However, it wasn’t as perfect as it seemed. Her planet was overpopulated, so much to the point that the government had to take extreme measures. The government was moving dragons to less populated areas so the big cities weren't overflowing with dragons. Many families were being separated and taken away to a disastrous place, where crime rates were off the charts, people couldn’t find basic necessities like food and shelter, and people were becoming alone and depressed. Aquarius didn’t want to be one of those people.

She needed to leave before they could take her away, so she quickly swam to the nearest galaxy. But she was torn. She knew she was never going to see her family again, because her family couldn’t travel with her. But she knew she couldn’t stay, because staying would be worse. No matter what she did, she would never see her family again, but the conditions she would live in if she stayed could be far worse if she didn’t leave. So she went through the portal to a new galaxy, leaving everything she had ever known behind.

Very quickly, she noticed she wasn’t swimming. She didn’t know how to use her wings for anything besides swimming. She didn’t know how she was going to survive the never ending fall. She accepted her fate and prepared to embrace death. But suddenly, she wasn’t falling anymore. A dragon had flown over to save her! The dragon flew her over to a planet that had lots of water, which she was thankful for. But what caught her eye was lots of terrain she didn’t recognize.

She learned that the dragon who saved her was the leader of the planet that she landed on, and his name was Felix. She learned that she was in the galaxy called the Milky Way, and on planet Earth. She discovered that the unrecognizable terrain was called grass, and you were supposed to walk on it. She didn’t know how to walk, so instead she stayed in the ocean, and learned the way they lived in the Atlantic Ocean. It was much different from the way she lived in Zetranexus. They were less strict, and allowed everyone to have their own lives. It was also much less crowded. She quickly learned who everyone was, and made many new friends.

She may be new, but her dream is to be the queen of the ocean. However, a dragon must be a year old to be the queen. It feels so long to her, but she knows that she will be the queen one day. She refuses to let the opportunity pass away, and even though it’s sooooo long, it will be her one day. Just you wait and see…
