Biography
Birth Clan: Breezeballad Clan
Faith: the Windsinger
Born to Bayou, the Windswept Sanctuary's healer, and Halka, the resident eldritch entity, Halcyon knew not of the life outside of the Parish. He grew up in the faith. He was very close with Irving, a veilspun convert from Vita Clan located at the edge of Tsunami Flats, near the border with the lightning flight's territory.
He was more airheaded and not as brash as Bayer, definitely taking more characteristics from his Spiral heritage in attitude than from the mirror side.
Halcyon had to unfortunately leave the Windswept Sanctuary soon after successfully courting Prayer, one of the Sanctuary's acolytes. He hopes to be reunited with his love one day. As he ran, he was headed to the only place he could think of outside of Parish's Boundaries: Vita Clan at the edge of Tsunami Flats.
Relationships:
Halka
"It's always. Yes, sir or No, sir with Halka. I know he's my father as in, biologically, but he's far from fatherly. He is after all clergy first, and dragon second. Dragon includes being a father, or mum's partner. I do not hate him, but I don't love him either. His duty ended with nesting the eggs me and my twin hatched from"
Bayou
"Yes, mum, I remembered to say my prayers to the Windsinger. And no, I don't need more of the scale rub, it's healed. Yes, I'm good, really! I don't need anymore of this stinky thing!"
Bayer
"We always fight. Bayer hatched only a couple minutes before me but he acts like Sornieth owes him all the praise and glory. I learned as a hatchling that it's better to just... let him have his little moments of triumph than to pick up a fight. It doesn't end well, usually. He's more like a soldier of faith. I'm more akin to a studious monk"
Aleph
"Aleph is the boss around here. I respect him, of course. And I do like to listen to his sermons on the great might of Windsinger. But it's not like I had a chance to get to know him, given as I am in not as high of a position here"
Omega
"To me Omega, is the perfect example of what a Mirror dragon should be like. I like her a lot. She's more approachable than Aleph. I've assisted her in scavenging a couple of times, it's been a great honour. "
Irving
"He's sort of like an elder brother to me. At least I get along with him a bit better than I do with my actual brother. Irving's a convert, though he was taken in by the Breezeballad Clan when he was young, he still remembers some stuff from his time on Tidelord's territory. He speaks of the Tsunami Flats almost as if it was a secret, or as if he was afraid someone might overhear him. Even though what he remembers is faint, like a dream at best. I think if I wasn't here I'd like to be where Irving comes from"
the Astrologist
"She never revealed her name to me, actually. But she did teach me about the stars and other stuff. How to read them and navigate using them. I enjoy lessons with her, tough sometimes her way of speaking is hard to understand. I've snuck out a couple times to stargaze with her when I couldn't sleep."
Prayer
"She is soft and sweet and graceful... It would be nice to... no, I probably shouldn't. What if she thinks I'm, uh. Not right for her? Or if she tells Aleph or Halka? Still, my heart skips a beat when our eyes meet."
