As the the lieutenant of The Vanguard, Leila is the glue that holds her team together. Her tendency to act as a peacemaker smooths out any wrinkles in The Vanguard and Wayfare as a whole; so much so that Courageous will often employ her gracefulness if he can't calm down a dispute between travelers. To upkeep the Wayfare she so loves, Leila often takes it upon herself to oversee Wayfare's activities. Most notably, she keeps track of the food reserves they have, sending out Atzel whenever they run low.

Though bane arguably holds more authority and weight, Leila still pressures herself to be perfect and capable. She is strongly against murder and maintains a perfect track record of chasing away criminals without doing serious harm to them. Lately, she's been working as a silent shadow, allowing the rest of The Vanguard's accomplishments to overshadow her own. She's become increasingly more humble in this regard, projecting the same reserved quietness that clouded her right after she was chosen by Windsinger for the honor of a Vanguard lieutenant.
