Biography
Part II
Golden Wings
She stepped back from the massive dragon. “Depends who’s asking.” She lightly growled deep in her throat. “You first, Imp.”
The Imperial chuckled as he landed on the edge of the cliff, a few dozen yards from her. He craned his neck over to look at her. “My name is Apollo.”
“Weird name, likely story.” Trembling on the inside, she still held her pose to try and look big and scary. She wasn’t going to let her guard down so easily. She would at least put up a fight if he started one.
“Relax, relax, little Windy.”
“... What the hell did you just call me?” She glared, more upset now.
“What IS your name then?”
She slowly lowered her wings. “I have none. I didn’t earn one yet.”
“Earning?” He chuckled. “You get a name when you hatch, do you not?”
“My clan gives us names when we earn them.” She caught herself. “Or rather, my former clan.”
“What is the name of your former clan, dear?”
She puffed her chest out a big, standing a bit prouder. “I am a former member of the Bleeding Sparrow.”
He chuckled. “I see. I’ve never heard of them.”
She glared. “Well, we are very real.”
“Why do you say we, when you are a former?” He gestured, sitting down on the boulder nearby. “It seems you have left.”
She growled lightly, thinking to herself. Her former clan was all she knew.
“Welcome to the Sunbeam Ruins. Or rather, the beginning of a new clan.”
“New clan? What do you mean?” She looked around. “Nothing has been built.”
“Well, I was thinking of starting a new clan, Little Wind. Like you, I escaped my former clan and ended up in this sanctuary land of a domain.”
“Don’t call me Little Wind.” She said simply, folding her wings.
“Fine, fine,” Apollo chuckled. “Well, what should we call you then?” He turned to the sunrise.
“Anything that isn’t stupid.”
“You’re quite feisty for a little Wildclaw.” He laughed. “Hm…”
The sunlight bounced off her golden feathers. The sunrise mimicked her coloration, her shiny scales holding onto that light.
“How about… Dawn?”
She thought for a moment, grinning at the light. “Yea. Dawn sounds good. I’ll take it.”
