Upbringing
Born in the Icewarden's Domain, North was raised by Andromeda of Nothingness, a Skydancer known to flicker in and out of existence due to her relation to the Glitch Queen. Growing up he was always aware of his fragile existence, the threat of glitching out of reality and never returning always looming over him. Like his birthplace, he grew up to have a cold and icy demeanor and kept his distance from other dragons.

As he got older, he started wanting to gain control of his strange, glitching powers. He thought the best approach would be to research the history of his lineage, hoping that the knowledge gained would help him master it. In pursuit of this goal he left his mother and home, but maybe he should have left his family's history untouched...

Search for answers
North's search made him wander across many parts of Sornieth, and eventually led him to the Spiral Garden. There, a historian helped him discover the truth behind his lineage.

North is a distant descendant of the Glitch Queen Naomi. His and his mother's strange properties are a consequence of being related to the Gatekeeper herself. But while this was a surprising discovery, it was not the end of it. The specific lineage North comes from holds another secret: It is imbued with the power of the Shade, the very thing that almost destroyed Sornieth long ago. It makes sense then, that North's powers are so strange and unpredictable. With the blood of the Glitch Queen and the touch of the Shade, his existence is fragile and doomed not to last. This revelation shook him, making him question if he should even exist at all.
