Biography
Elysian name meaning: [Greek] relating to or characteristic of Elysium, also known as the Elysian Fields: the paradise reserved for the heroes immortalized by the gods in Classical mythology

Not for ourselves alone are we born.”
The Divine Warden
|
Sobriquet: Eli Occupation: Warden of Nanuk Battle Style: Offensive Relations: - Close friends with Nanuk - More TBD Notes: - It has long been taught in the Frozen Peaks tribe that 'even the divine walk among us,' and yet so few of the modern age tend to believe this to be a genuine possibility. For Elysian, however, this is not the case. As a divine being himself sent to protect the newest Frozen Peaks chief, Nanuk, it would be denying his own nature to suggest otherwise. Though various legends and histories throughout time have remembered divine entities like Elysian by many names, it is of the Frozen Peaks tribe's tradition to refer to these beings as '[Divine] Wardens' or 'Od'Bewakers.' - Originally thought to guard only the most righteous of chiefs as dictated by the Eleven, Elysian has since let Nanuk in on the 'divine secret' that—in all actuality—the Wardens are merely assigned to mortal leaders when they, themselves, need to prove that they are worthy of their divinity. In other words, a chief's so-called 'righteousness' has nothing to do with whether or not they'll be given a Warden, but rather a Warden's lack of divinity is what influences such a decision by the other divine disciples of the Eleven. - If a Warden is successful in protecting their charge for the allotted time agreed upon by the disciples, they are 'redeemed' in the eyes of the Eleven and are allowed to continue abiding in the divine realms without consequence. Otherwise, should they fail, they will be stripped of their divine status and made mortal, where they will spend the rest of their days abiding in the realms of Sornieth. - Though he has hidden his divine origins and form from most mortals, Nanuk as his 'Chosen' is one of the few who knows of his divinity and is able to see past his illusionary mortal form. |
