The Head Chef is responsible for managing daily meals on board the Great Continental Express. They are in charge of all kitchens on board, and must debrief their staff each day on the meals to be prepared each day. Up to two sous-chefs per dining car should be assigned to help manage the restaurants and room access deliveries. Food report requisitions should be delivered to the Railway liason each week.

BIOGRAPHY
Karn is an older dragon with a gruff exterior, known for his sharp attitude and sharper tongue. He has been the head cook on the Great Continental Express for over two decades. His unwillingness to compromise on quality would have gottten any other employee replaced, but he has been with the Railway for so long that they tolerate his increasingly acerbic supply requests. He has little patience for passengers who complain about the food and will not hesitate to tell them exactly what he thinks of their taste. Increasingly disillusioned with his job and the corporate entity that runs the train, Karn takes great pride in his food - if not his work aboard the train.

Karn is acutely aware of the corruption that permeates the train and the shady deals that the Railway makes behind closed doors. His sister fell ill when they were young, and Karn was forced to co-operate with the Railway to bring her back to the Viridian Labyrinth where she could recover.

LUX OCULUS - DINING CABIN
This dinner-only dining car is themed after Lanternlea Port. It opens only after 8 with reservations. One of the larger cars in the section, it is adorned with elegant chandeliers, soft lighting, and white linens, evoking the city's scholarly seaside ambience.

The menu focuses on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and delicate flavors. The menu features dishes such as seared scallops with citrus vinaigrette, grilled asparagus with lemon and parmesan, and roasted chicken with herbs and butter.

The waitstaff dress in elegant white uniforms, and the tables are decorated with twinkling fairy lights and small candles. Soft, classical music is played live in the background, adding to the serene atmosphere of the dining car.

Karn's older sister. They were both born in the Labyrinth, but moved away shortly after. After she fell ill, Karn made a desparate deal with the Railway to bring her back to the Labyrinth. He hasn't seen her in over two decades.

Jack is sympathetic to Karn's plight and often tries to cheer him up with jokes and stories when he delivers food to the train each week. Karn appreciates Jack's kindness and sees him as a bright spot in an otherwise bleak situation.
