Camar

Finding old, undiscovered ruins of a long lost time seems like a fairytale for most, but Camar and her crew are looking at ruins right now! A small formation of rocks led to the discovery of an underground tunnel and before the group of explorers knew it, they were standing in a big underground tomb. With torches in their hands, the group goes to work to document everything immediately.

Camar is drawing a lay-out of the place when she sees something stick out of the ground in a corner. Nobody else seems to notice it, so Camar gets closer to examine it better. A beautiful, glittering sword is slightly sticking out of the ground, just behind one of the graves. It’s not elaborate in design, but it is obviously sturdy and made for battle instead of ceremony. Was this the weapon of someone buried in this tomb? Camar doesn’t dare to open up any of the graves here, you don’t disturb the dead after all… But the sword, it is strangely pulling her in. She writes down all the details about the weapon. Where it’s located in the tomb, what it looks like, in what condition it is in… But it’s not enough. Suspecting magic, Camar walks away from the sword and continues mapping out the room instead.

But at the end of the team’s survey, nobody has looked at the sword yet. Camar asks multiple team members about it, and nobody has even noticed it. So Camar drags the entire team to the corner to show it to them. And again, the pull to pick up the weapon is strong. The team inspects the weapon, but nobody finds it interesting enough to take a closer look. And Camar feels her frustration build with their indifference. Building and building, until…

Camar pulls the sword out of the ground. Finally, she feels whole.
