"Hello. My name is Golden. I was born to a Snapper father and a Guardian mother from within a Lightning clan in the Carrion Canyon. I left on The Search and found my charge - a particularly large and beautiful piece of Gold Ore. You might say I am uniquely qualified for this task, as my very hide is formed from crystals of pure gold.
I spent many years defending my Gold Ore, but with the increase in dragonkind, I found this task more and more difficult. There were always dragons nearly stepping on it or noticing it and wanting to make it their own. Naturally, I would have defended it to the ends of time, but I considered my options carefully. You see, left to the elements and wanderers who might happen upon it, my Gold Ore was not very safe. I needed to find somewhere to put it.
Thankfully, I encountered the clan mother of this Arcanist Clan, who promised that she would place my Gold Ore within her clan's vault, where it would remain safe from harm - as well as from others who might wish to make it their own. After some negotiations, I decided to join this clan and allow them to place my Gold Ore inside their spacious vault. It is not theirs, mind you. It is still mine. It only resides here for safety.
I now find my purpose in life has expanded, as it only makes sense for me to protect the entire vault, as well as my precious Gold Ore. I worship The Arcanist now, as does the majority of my clan. He is the ultimate protector of myself, my vault and, within it, my Gold Ore. While within this clan, I have also become a father and made many friends.
However, touching my Gold Ore without my permission is still a grave mistake for friend, family... or foe.
Do not make that mistake, mortal. You will not like the outcome."
