Duskpain

No one was really sure how Duskpain joined the clan.
The scarred coatl had simply…..turned up one night, when the blizzards in the Icewarden's domain had been unusually unrelenting, howling and shrieking like banshees.
Scars covered his body, and his wings were tattered.
An especially nasty gash across his right eye was bleeding heavily.
It was clear that Duskpain would only be able to see out of one eye then.
Much to the surprise of the clan, the leaders welcomed him.
Kindness may have been a rare thing, but to refuse help to a dragon so in need of it would have been almost outrageous.
This, of course, did not change their attitudes towards Duskpain.
He really couldn't care less though.
What did it matter to him anyways?
The rumours they spread were ridiculous, in any case.
The truth was that Duskpain had been banished from his previous clan.
He had stolen from his previous clan's leaders, and had paid the price for it.
His punishment?
Blinding.
It was fitting, considering that he had once been blinded by it.
He had barely escaped, snarling and lashing out, but not before another dragon had clawed out one of his eyes.
No one knew of his secret.
No one except for Inya, his mate.
And she was probably the only dragon that Duskpain could trust.
What was that saying again?
Ah yes.
Birds of a feather flock together, after all.
