Tyrian the Tyrant

Tyrian believes himself the descendant of some of the most powerful drakes in known history. He holds himself as if someone were always carving his likeness in a block of marble. At his slightest whim he commands others to do his bidding, and scolds them for things he wanted one moment and not the next. Though pretentious and unwilling to do most things for himself he is revered as a great historian. Tyrian can recite ancient texts from heart and recalls ancient battles as if he was there himself, but he often just uses his vast knowledge to give people more reason to obey his commands.

“If we must have a tyrant, let him at least be a gentleman who has been bred to the business, and let us fall by the axe and not by the butcher’s cleaver” - Lord Byron

Sometimes it can be difficult for Tyrian’s clanmates to pinpoint what exactly makes him so exasperating. It’s not the haughty attitude, although that is admittedly grating. It’s also not the sneering commands doled out without regard for for the targeted dragon. Though no one would willingly admit it, the most infuriating trait Tyrian possess is that he is always right. Possessed by pervasive intellect, his influence can easily turn the tide of battles but is usually used to advance his private agenda.

Tyrian crows that his purple coloration is indicative of his ‘royal blood’ and occasionally he preens for hours until every feather is in place. Mirrors have become far less popular in the clan since his arrival.
