Biography
"The pale flower bloomed underground, but he clawed his way to the surface.
Drenched in the sun's warmth, he yearns only for journeys that will take him beneath every sunlit sky."

BEFORE YOU EXALT Uh-oh, looks like this sun-seeking lad wandered a little too far from their home lair (solarswitchback#507604), and now they're off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, they'd really appreciate it if you could just return them to their home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but they would be very grateful! ABOUT Raised deep within a quiet network of caves, Tethys was a frail, fragile thing almost perfectly suited to their environment. They were often told to be content, as the world outside was not something they could handle. That it would break them. Privately, Tethys always thought staying in the same place forever would break them more. They did not hesitate when they saw a chance to set out on their own. Emerging from the stone walls that provided safety and the familiar dirt floors, when they emerged from the mouth of their cave, what was once their home, they emerged out into a world of barren, snowy tundras and bitterly cold blizzards. The storms were harsh on them, as unprepared as they were, and at first, they thought of those back in the cave and thought they might have been right. That this might break them. But when the storms broke first, and they saw the first beams of sunlight breaking through the clouds, they knew it was going to take much more than that. The first settlement they came across was a rather elaborate camp set up in the shadow of a cliff, sheltering them from the cold winds. A Sanctuary of sorts, they were told, where dragons and creatures otherwise alike gathered, bonding over the various circumstances that brought them together. Finding friends in the unlikely, in those who understood. One such friend for Tethys was Dione. Another dragon who'd been raised deep within caves and longed to see more of the world. The only problem was that Dione could only travel at night, and that made things much more difficult than either of them wanted it to be. It would be easier when Dione had an idea of where he was going or what he wanted to see before he wandered off, and that was when Tethys had an idea. They offered to search for places for the both of them. Tethys could handle the sunlight just fine. They could venture to places yet unknown and find somewhere for both them and their newfound, if odd, friend to visit. TRAVELS Tethys found a moderately small clan just a few days later. Their home in Singer's Brook was warm, sunny and inviting. Various dwellings and resting spots were available for tired travelers and visitors alike. When Tethys first landed, he was unsure if this was a good spot, considering Dione's difficulty in light. But the leader Mariania assured him that any dragon with special accommodations would be seen to. He stopped in a nature clan next and considered if the shade from the trees was enough for his friend Dione. He honestly didn't think so, it was still a very bright and vibrant place. |
