Biography
A particular phenomenon of the wealthy are sending their children's to holy institutions when they have been deemed unworthy of the vast materialism of their parents. Inque was sent as a girl to study philosophy and prophetry by the coast, far away from the growing settlement her family established.
She had lived her life in the confines of mysticism, raising children and feeling a comfortable hollowness in (attempting) predictions.
Years and children went by, spouses and homes gained and lost when she had her first vision. A forest. The towering trees and blooming life called to her years after she was shipped away. She bid farewell to her children and parted with her husband, selling her possessions and working for passage to her homeland.
She arrived at an overgrown port, water lilies and vines dragging the dock downwards. A warning to sailors, a welcoming to her.
Setting off to the settlement of her family Inque expected anger and confrontation, joy and an awkward welcome after a lifetime abroad. She found nothing. The greenery had risen up and suffocated the town, nature reclaiming space dedicated to lumber mills and stone. Her family gone and her home deserted, Inque supposed she be sad, but to see such an ancient forest strike down the choking weeds that threatened it was aweing.
She went on through the jungle, surviving as her ancestors had, until she accepted the company of garden range wanderers and settled at the edge of the forest.
