Biography
CHAPTER FOUR: THE DYING STAR
Birth of the Dragons of Aether - Entry 5
Our journey into the world of Aether dragons soon came to a much appreciated lull. While research slowed to a crawl, it seemed that gaining the trust of two dominant dragons in their hierarchy has netted us some protection. Many dare not to approach, until one day we were met with an unexpected guest.
A buzzing sound could be heard overhead, with a gentle mist overcoming our current quarters. Bamboo sprouted from the ground, with the sun growing brighter overhead. What befell us soon afterwards was a brightly colored Aether dragon- one who's behavior was quite bug-like. It twitched and darted around, until it's bright blue eyes caught us in it's sights.
Naturally, we were on guard. Yet this dragon had no ounce of hostility in it's veins. It observed us with great curiosity before our beloved mediator Nadya opened communication.
"Unfamiliar with Aavaderyat? Strange, strange! Aavaderyat command masses, see! How could this be?" She turned to us with her usual wide-eyed expression with a small stretching across her lips, "Our research, flipped on head!"
We asked if this... strange Aether was under the command of another, in which they answered positively. When we asked who however, their answer was unclear. It seemed to be under a sort of spell, following strict movements and behaviors in which it was not capable of acting outside of those boundaries.
"There are more, I think!" Nadya explains, "Called mites, a hive! He lives in a hive with others! Only friendly if you are!"
After deducing that this 'mite' of sorts meant us no harm, Nadya informed us that the mite wished to take us back to it's hive. It's invitation was made in supposed good faith- though we are weary of following an unfamiliar dragon back into it's own lair so to speak. While further investigation into these mites and their origins will be crucial to our full understanding of Aethers, for now we abstained in hopes of gaining further trust to be able to proceed.
