sorry it took me so long. Hope you like it! Tried to integrate what you already have about them in their bio into this one.
“Who am I? Child of the Earth, blessed by the Skies; the flutter of moth’s wings carries the scent of almonds upon the wind. Catch a glimpse of my transcendent beauty at the edge of your peripheral vision, somewhere in the forest. Tread the woodland paths, seek out the divinity. In the skies and in the earth. At daybreak and at nightfall. In places not obvious.”
The androgynous deity encapsulates the beauty of the natural world. And while you are focused on trying to make out the silhouette just on the edge of your vision you may not notice Agdistis staring you right in the face with their curious eyes.
“Born from the bones of the earth, the moth takes to the skies. Shifting, from one end to another. Just like scales of a serpent being hit by the rays of sun, just like the leaves in the trees when Autumn takes Summer’s place. Yet despite the changes, nothing is changed at all. It is still me.”
Though they’re not the most outgoing of beings, they are willing to reveal themself to those who don’t find it hard to see beauty in the world, and that includes all parts of it. The overlooked, or underappreciated, as well as the well loved and revered. The loud, the quiet, the gentle, the ruthless, the plain and the complex.
“It’s everywhere. In the sweet, red apples growing in well maintained orchards, in the mycelium overtaking a hare’s cadaver. In the roaring song of the waves crashing on the shore, and the whispers of wind in between the falling leaves. It’s the glittering hoarfrost and the gravel on the road. It’s in the withering flowers and in the falling rain. In starry nights and overcast skies. It is in the dance of the moths as they get closer to the flame, and in the almonds put in wooden bowls on the altars as offerings. It takes a myriad of forms, endlessly enchanting. It is in all that you see, when looking at me.”
Shall one come across an altar decorated with moth patterns and imagery, as well as offerings usually consisting of almonds, that was most likely left by a follower of Agdistis.
