The sun rising and falling as if it was a living, breathing dragon, each breath passing within a moment. How Flannery had woken, they didn't know. Their resting place had been split open by a watery sky, dark angry clouds collecting over the mighty aether's palace of stone. But the change was more than welcomed by them. For thousands of years had passed between their time on the Arcanist's earth and the moment they'd broken through. They, unfamiliar their respective species had returned to the earth, believed they were alone once more, stuck to wander alone in a place unsafe for anyone who roamed outside the valley. But as the warm spring air touched their face- the world didn't feel so lonely. They'd found their voice once more, and knew they could use it to help. A voice not heard by the seas, the skies, or any of whom live upon the ground, now split the air. "Believe me, my far-reaching family, I will do my best to keep those here safe, like you tried to do to me. " ☆ |
