Grace lived within the forests of Sornieth, her family all painters, created her as an example of the beauty they could create. They modeled her in the most gorgeous of ways, she was stunning in front of a sunset, surrounded by sundew, and draped in ivy, but she longed to learn more about the objects of glory she posed with. She was caught staring at the flowers perched above her wings. Grace planted the prettiest of flora, and used the pigment as her own paint. When she moved out, she set put her career as a botanist. She used her previous painting skill to decorate her pots and walls. Grace eventually found a mate, and together they created the best garden in the world.

Ack my hands hurt, hope you like!

Whether it was a whim of the deities or by some strange twist of luck, Verna landed here. Here in the middle of nowhere, that is.

Having separated from her clan of Aethers as their research facility crashed on the 22nd, she was, to say he least, stranded. Although she would never admit that her sense of direction was beyond poor, one thing she does stand by is that anything science-related was certainly not her forte. While her peers were busy conducting experiments for the sake of 'evolving' their species, she was occupied with trying to catch the mechanical butterflies that were invented.

And thus, this was her first time having to deal with something on her own. Now, don't get her wrong! She makes contributions where they're needed, albeit... in the form of proposing questions to make trinkets foolproof.

After a cycle of wandering, getting distracted by foreign fauna, and taking short breaks, Verna finally got sight of what could only be described as a saving grace in her eyes. It wasn't quite what she imagined though. Fairytales always described villages as cozy and warm, whereas castles would be grand and even imposing if she hadn't seen the countless technological advancements in her laboratory.

But this?

This land was riddled with wires that coiled around rock formations like snakes. Storm clouds seemed to cry out in anger at her presence, and towers crackled with electricity the closer she got.

An adventure was awaiting her! Perhaps she'd become one of those protagonists that get elected as the hero to rescue Sornieth from some sinister power. Or perhaps someone would pickpocket her and she becomes the damsel in distress!

It was neither.

As Verna approached the towers with a foolish grin, her fur began standing up from the electricity and she looked more like a peach-colored cotton ball than she did a princess. As a result, the trudge to the central tower in Tempest Spire felt like an eternity. In an attempt to straighten out her coat, it only seemed to worsen with each pass through her fur, leaving her a fluffy and tangled mess.

With a resigned but still hopeful expression, her legs finally gave out as she sat down at the entrance to a peculiar clan. Looking around, her eyes sparkled with a familiar thought. Perhaps there was still a chance at achieving the fantasy-like life she dreamt of after all?
