Webb left the Astrolab in body, but never in spirit. Ever since it came back from the outer atmosphere he has longed to return to the verge of the stars, and maybe go beyond.

Aligning himself with the Magistry has provided him with a few opportunities to go higher via magical means, but he has yet to reach the heights he once sailed at. The best he can do is gaze wistfully at the sky, recording astronomical data from the floating island on which the Silverwing Castle sits; a place considered high for most, but far, far too low for him.

The longing dragon Webb is lucky to have a companion like Aestatis, a Mith with as much passion for space as his draconic friend. Aestatis is an engineer, and has been working on equipment for upper atmospheric travel for some time. He has few collaborators, so is making slow progress, but the pair dream that one day they may be able to take the Silverwing Castle and its island to the verge of the night sky.
