Polari tapped his foot at a high-speed pace. What was taking her so long just to get a silver mirror? It wasn't too hard to find them in rich dragons' homes. He sighed, eyes darting back over to the door Treasure had previously disappeared into.

The door creaked open again and she was holding a silver mirror. Perfect!

"Thank you so much for letting me use this," Polari said with a semi-fake smile as he reached for the mirror in her hands before she tugged it away, just out of his reach.

"Ah, ah, I'm going to need some payment in exchange," Polari's eye twitched. ****, why didn't he expect this to happen. He opened up his ghost hunter's pack and looked around before he found a rusty coin and cloudy gem, these would have to work.

"Here," He put his hand out in front of her with the items. Treasure looked them over, picking them up and turning them over in her hands.

"A little worn, but it'll have to do. Here-- and make sure to bring it back after you're done." Polari nodded vigorously, taking the mirror from her hand and quickly walking out of the door. Once he was a block away he took his bag off of his shoulder and put the mirror in, making sure it was snug and not going to break. Time to go hunt some ghosts!

The plan was simple, go to where the ghost was causing trouble, lure the ghost out (somehow) and then capture said ghost in silver mirror, recite the incantation to send ghost back to the spirit realm or where ever... and then BAM! become town hero. Or something like that, it was definitely easier written down than done. Polari hopped down the sidewalk, repeating the plan over and over in his mind, thinking of possible problems or things that could go awry. Worse comes to worse, ghost's fake and Polari has to think of yet ANOTHER way to step into the golden rays of being known and praised. Polari sighed, this was harder than expected.

The old wooden shack stood haughtily in front of him. Like it could squish him like a bug, but still he walked up the creaky wooden steps and knocked on the door with its peeling red paint. A dragon opened the door a sliver, peaking their head out, checking to see who it was before opening it fully.

"Hello, you must be... Polari?" Polari nodded, "Awesome! I'm Cryptid, come in, come in."

He ushered him in and the first thing Polari noticed was that the house seemed to be even bigger on the inside. The ceilings were grand and the floors all polished, this house didn't seem normal at all.

"Alright, so where's the problem room?" Polari hopes he was doing this right.

"It's upstairs to the right, here I'll show you," And with that Polari followed this eccentric old man up creaky wooden stairs that had clearly seen better days. It was weird and it was definitely starting to freak out Polari, from the outside this house hadn't even looked like there was a second floor, but here he was now walking up these steps following this sketchy dragon. Something wasn't right...

But what could be wrong? There were numerous answers but he couldn't pinpoint what exactly could be the cause of this whole ordeal, maybe he'll just have to wait until he got up into the room to see what was fully going on. Full lack of ghost hunting skills, don't fail me now!

The room was lavished floor to ceiling in velvet and furs of all kinds, trophy heads from prized animals hanging from the walls. The window was shadowed from view with heavy curtains, as candles were lit along the neat wooden tables by a couch that looked... expensive to say the least. This house was full of surprises.

"There's been some trouble here, floating plates of the sorts, apparitions, the like. Can you do anything about it? I'll pay a pretty penny!"

"Of course, of course! That's why I'm here." Polari stuck his hand out, "Deal?"

"Deal."

Cryptid left, a bounce in his step that left Polari alone, unaware of what was to come, he was too busy trying to figure how to do this, to figure out how to attract a ghost. This, this was the stupidest plan he's ever come up with, and when he was met with this room, that thought grabbed onto his mind and stuck, it was definitely feeling all the more real now.

Polari grabbed his ghost hunting journal from out of his pocket and flipped around, trying to find the proper page.

"Ah, here, it says, " He spoke aloud to the room, "To summon the spirit which you seek, spell out this incantation three times a streak. Unbroken, three times spoken. I nommus uoy tsohg morf eht tsehgih yloh sthgis dna tsepeed tsekrad lleh, i llac nopu eeht ot hsiuqnav uoy morf eseht dewolloh sdnuorg! I nommus uoy tsohg morf eht tsehgih yloh sthgis dna tsepeed tsekrad lleh, i llac nopu eeht ot hsiuqnav uoy morf eseht dewolloh sdnuorg! I nommus uoy tsohg morf eht tsehgih yloh sthgis dna tsepeed tsekrad lleh, i llac nopu eeht ot hsiuqnav uoy morf eseht dewolloh sdnuorg!"

The room began to glow, and the plates lifted, the fire roared, curtains swung left to right! Polari stepped back, scared out of his mind... what has he done? This will cost him so much in property damage!
