Night certainly enjoys the simple things in life, but she believes they can be enjoyed all the more with contrast. That is why she wishes to still have surprises as she grows older, whether it's a joke her friends make or random weather phenomena.

Doubtlessly, Night is a quiet dragon who prefers to observe above all else. She is a determined planner, the type of person who savors every course at dinner and petal on a flower. On the other side of things though, she is prone to returning from her thoughts with all the fanfare of an interruption, unable to help but share what she's just discovered. The firstborn of Petrichor and Rainsurge's third nest, Night never really said her full name as a hatchling, going from Midnight to Night in the span of mere months. Picking up the habit of sky-watching from her parents, as all of their children, she came to apply her budding observational skills on not just the weather, but the vast world around her. From her home to the open grounds of the Divine Shrine, there was always something new to discover and share with those who kept her company. Occasionally, she derailed a conversation. Night couldn't really mind even in the face of a friend's slight protest. After all, it was worth it if they could all appreciate a fleeting sight together, quiet before their playful argument. Considering the sheer size of the world, it is only natural for Night to leave home. It isn't that she's run out of things to admire; it's more that she wants to admire other places too. The scrolls say that traveling can help with personal growth, and who is Night to pass up the opportunity? As a nod towards the storms she's watched with her family, she has decided to travel to the Shifting Expanse. |
