hendre loves hys family. hy loves the grass of the millmeadows, hy loves the sheep hy cares for, hy loves every familiar face that has raised hym from an egg. but hys true love has always been music. well, music and hafod of course. hendre was raised by a talonok and kitsune couple, hys draconic parents abandoning hys egg with them before taking back to the winds. with a wanderlust so strong they would abandon theirown hatchling, it was little surprise to hys parents that hy inherited that same desire to drift. the problem was, they wanted hym to stay. they tried to sate hym by letting hym take care of the sheep transhumance with hys best friend hafod, and encouraging hym to learn from the many traveling bards that take refuge in the farmhouses on the meadows. it did not settle hym, only encouraged hys restlessness. still, it was no shock when hy finally told them hy was leaving. hys mothers were tearful but kind, embracing both dragons before they left. and oh how wide the world is. hendre's propensity for melancholy was channeled into hys music, and hafod's skill with spoken word only heightened it. they did not join any group of traveling bards, but did camp with many. no, the two preferred the peace of only each other's company in the long run, rather than a group of other artists. a selfish desire, in part, from hendre's part. hy likes to play hys lyre for hafod as the sunsets, listening to the wind blow through the grasses. hy likes when hafod braids dandelions into a crown to rest on hys head. hy likes when the nights are cold and hafod curls zir fluffy body around hym. hy likes the way zir eyes look, hy likes the sound of zir laugh, hy likes the way the sunlight flashes on zir teeth. hy loves hafod. hy says it a thousand times in a thousand different ways as hy plucks the strings of his lyre. hy watches hafod's gentle face, hoping for recognition, unable to put hys feelings into words.
