- Constantly fights with Shade, is eventually captured by him. Shade tortures him for days, but is later stopped when Dimitri finds out.
- Had mixed feelings about Dimitri at first, but loves him with his whole heart and will protect him with his life.
- Commands a powerful dragon, though he eventually releases it into the wild
- Tries his best to stay out of Shade's way
- Dimitri likes to call him "Spikey" because he thinks it's cute
- He and Dimitri live in a house built into the cliff beneath Akeo’s castle, so they can help defend it if needed.
- He's the kind of guy that is always tired. Since both Dimitri and Tao are extremely energetic, BloodThorn usually doesn't get time alone.
