Cricket is a young and spry dragon who is too adventurous for her own good. She originates from Azmarin Sanctuary, a fire clan that is strangely in the middle of a thick forest. She lived in a hollow near the hatchery, where her mother Makkari worked. She always spent her days helping and playing with all the hatchlings, and when she got older she sometimes joined in the hunting parties, where she often was the quickest of them all. She enjoys running and flying through empty spaces and spends a lot of her time doing that. However, one day while she was hunting for the clan, she was chasing a rabbit too fast through the forest and she left the borders of the clan following it. She left the foliage and the valley, and it was only when she was in the middle of a lava plateau that she realized she wasn't in Azmarin Sanctuary anymore. |

Hello diary! I think I'm lost! I've never seen a place with no trees before, and there's a bunch of weird red cliffs. But it's okay, I'm sure I'll be able to find home again- but while I'm here I better explore!! I found a lot of cool rocks, and there's a lot of lava around here, there's even a little lavafall on one of these cliffs!
Anyway, I think I should start finding home, it's getting kinda dark and I can barely see my scroll right now.

As hard as I tried, I didn't go the right way at all. After passing the lavafalls I reached a river. By that time it was too dark to fly, so I set up camp on the riverbank. Let me tell you, trying to sleep with clumps of wet ash flying all around isn't pleasant.
Thankfully, the next day I made my way over the stream and ended up in the plains with a bunch of windmills. I've never seen anything like this!
I got so carried away looking around that I didn't notice there were other dragons nearby. When one of them called out to me I got startled and dropped all of my stuff (how embarrassing!). Thankfully the dragons were friendly, they even lead me to their clan. As we made our way there, the dragons told me that I had been flying West when I actually needed to go East. Oh well, guess I'll go sightseeing for a while! Hope nobody back home is too too worried about me.

The dragons invited me to stay at a local inn for a couple of days, while they drew up a map of the surrounding areas for me. I didn't want to just sit around in the meantime, so I babysat some of their hatchlings. Guess I still got it!

The Forest Kingdom, Rarecreature, January 23, 2024
Wow, I found myself here in this forest and it's lovely. I noticed that there's a kingdom nearby. But, I decided to stay where I was because it looks lovely. I went to hunt for some food and there is so much to eat here. I just found a waterfall! It was so beauitful and so, I went inside the waterfall. It was cold and nice for me to enjoy. Wow, I enjoy that waterfall and I think it's time for me to go now.

It's hard for me to imagine that I've left home for nearly a year by now. It feels like I've been travelling for so long, yet every time I go to somewhere new, I still manage to find something I've never seen before!
The new clan I found myself in was a small grove, tucked away in the corner of the Mirrorlight Promenade. While the garden itself was beautiful and well-tended, there were swathes of forest slightly beyond the grounds, where I managed to catch myself some rabbits. Funny to think how a rabbit was how I ended up leaving my clan, and led me to be catching rabbits miles away from my home!
While the dragons here were friendly and all too eager to help me settle in and rest, the forests and wildlife left me homesick. Perhaps, I should start trying to make my way home, and see what adventures I come across along the way...

Today, I visited the Wayward Keep!
They are a small settlement, with a rice-farm. Many travellers stop by here at the Inn, and I was lucky to be in-time for some musical preformances from Dove, Fidelity and Kinesis. I wasn't really sure what happened at the end, but someone must've said something and there was a bar fight???
Usually, I would not take part in something so stupid, but uumm... I suppose I may have had a little too much to drink. I'm happy to say, that I did win!!!
I was so good, that Wairen even personally escorted me to her airship! I spent the following hangover, drinking hot tea, and watching movies with Cheripa. She said we got, "kicked out" but I honestly don't see it that way. The movies were likely a decade old, but old enough to be funny at this age. What a lovely time overall.
