An occasional visitor to Traveler's Rest. Xenia and her traveling companion Xenocrates are currently wandering aimlessly across Sornieth, running from various Flight authorities and fellow members of the scientific community. Xenia doesn't have one of those silly "doctorate degrees." She's a free spirit, pursuing science with no restraint. Of course, this lack of restraint is what sent her into hiding in the Southern Icefield. From her hidden laboratory deep in the mountains, she conducted many strange and inadvisable experiments. Though she attempted to publish her findings to the larger magi-scientific community, getting papers out of the Icefield was much easier said than done. This didn't faze her. She continued her research into ever more esoteric fields, and one day devised an experiment like no other: she would attempt to reach out of her own universe and into a neighboring one. Multiverse theory had been proposed before, but it was only theory, and not accepted anywhere outside of the Starfall Isles. This crazy experiment succeeded, managing to bring Xenocrates into a universe other than his own. Shortly after, however, the lab was raided by Gaolers from the Fortress of Ends, under the assumption that Xenia was conducting dangerous research into the Shade. Xenia and her new experimental result friend were forced to go on the run. The two now are constantly on the move, which annoys Xenia quite a bit. She would love to have the time to actually sit down and write her findings about the multiverse, but can't find the time. Traveler's Rest is something of a haven for the two, where they can rest for a few days before moving on. |
