Biography

Wisp Bug
Ashine doesn’t have much going for him. His pale colorings make him look ill, and nobody really wants to hang around a dragon that is ill, right? At least, not in Ashine’s clan. So Ashine spends his days with other critters. Mostly bugs, as he started loving these little creatures from a very young age. His favorite bug being a wisp bug that he met while still being a hatchling. Ashine is never seen without his best friend. Not that others care to look at him.

For a while this just works for Ashine. He’s fine with this dynamic, he prefers being with his bugs over being with other dragons anyway. But lately, something has been feeling different. He can feel himself get tired more easily, and breathing is harder for him now. Ashine gathers up the courage to visit the doctor, after his wisp bug friend gives him some encouragement, and heads into the clan’s center for the first time in ages. As he sits down in front of the doctor and explains what he has been feeling, Ashine can see the doctor’s eyes narrow. “I’ll take a look, just relax.”, he says to Ashine, who nods and does as he is told.

The doctor looks him over, and runs some tests. Then he stares at the test results, and excuses himself. Asin waits patiently for the doctor to return and when he does return it is with three other dragons in tow. “Is something wrong?”, Ashine asks, scared. “Yes.”, the doctor replies. “You are way too healthy for the state that your body is in. You shouldn’t even be able to walk. What dark magic did you use?”

The other dragons approach Ashine, and Ashine now recognizes them as mages. He tries to tell them not to touch him, but feels his wisp bug friend crawl out of his neck fluff. The bug starts to glow in a sickly red blue glow, and attacks the mages with some force unseen.

Ashine looks at the lifeless bodies in front of him, four in total. And he realises he can breathe properly again.
