Ship crew and explorer

The ship captain stumbled upon her trapped in a crate, being smuggled into Churnscar Wharf by a band of rogue maren who were known for killing and harvesting the venom from Undertides for creating weapons. Since she had been kidnapped as an egg, the captain rescued her and took her aboard their boat.

She serves as a member of the ship's crew and is frequently seen wrapped around the mast of the boat or protecting the underside from any oncoming attacks.

She and the captain are very close and treat each other as siblings. Lumine is very protective of them and can be a bit snappish towards anything she perceives as a potential threat.

Lumine was named as a hatchling for her interest in one of the other crew member's familiars, a Citrine Cave Jewel, as well as her old habit of curling around a lantern to sleep.

Most consider her too childish and overprotective of the captain, but the crew knows her protective behavior to be justified after an incident occurred where the captain was harmed. Her childishness stems from her excitement and fun with exploring the seas, and she enjoys playing with non-hostile sea creatures. She has a strong fear of any maren because of her kidnapping and will avoid them at all costs. Because of this fear, she gets very vindictive and bloodthirsty when cornered, maren or not.
