Filigree was adopted into the clan as part of the clan mother's work to embrace genetic diversity within the clan. Given the increase in unattractive Crackle dragons in the world, the clan mother set out to find a dragon that could exhibit the beauty and grace of this unique genetic trait. It was on one of these searches that Filigree was found.
Filigree's beautiful white hide is filled with the purest of gold, which shines out through the crackles in his scales. He is very proud of his heritage, his composition - and, yes, his Crackle tertiary gene. He was the perfect dragon to welcome into the clan in the name of diversity and to help the clan embrace this often maligned genetic trait. Since his adoption into the clan, numerous other Crackle dragons have also been welcomed.
He doesn't just wear his genes proudly, however. Filigree wears everything he dons with great pride - because he knows it looks good on him. A fashionista through and through, Filigree is the dragon to go to if you need advice on which accessories look best with your scales or which hat brings out the colors of your hide.
Although he's pretty sure his skills are wasted on most of the clan. "This lot dresses worse than ragamuffins in a thrift store," he says. But he's not about to give up yet. He still keeps on dishing out advice and suggestions - even if they are mostly unsolicited.
Filigree maintains that love and romance aren't very important to him. After all, he doubts he could ever find a mate as beautiful as himself, anyway. Still, he does mate with the females in the clan, if only to spread his superior and lovely genes on to future generations - Crackle and all. He does have a soft spot for the Alpha Female, Kanna, with whom he has created some "particularly attractive" young ones.
