Hearth
Several sets of windchimes hang over Hearth's open doorway. Some of them are adorned with seashells, beads, and feathers; but most of them are simple metal tubes that send a variety of random bell tones into her house and out to her garden. Hearth's garden looks chaotic at first glance. Everything is arranged tightly in unusual shapes to make the most use of the space and a couple of cats are playing among some of the herbs. Each plant is placed next to its most beneficial neighbor, and narrow stone pathways provide access to them all. Hearth brought a whole satchel of seed packets with her from her old home in the Everbloom Gardens, and she appears to add new plants to the garden every year. Inside the house, once you pass through a surprisingly luxurious library/sitting room in which the best seat is occupied by a large longhaired cat, you will see shelves and racks full of jars, bottles, pouches, and barrels, in front of which another cat is playing with a cork bottle-stopper on the floor. Set into the back wall are two massive fireplaces occupied by cauldrons. Hearth is always in the middle of brewing something. When she first came to the clan she was strictly a tea-maker, and while her tea blends were highly sought after, she couldn't stick to one thing for long. After studying from books and apprenticing herself temporarily to travelers passing through who had some expertise she was interested in, Hearth now produces not only tea but wine, beer, chocolate, cordials, tinctures, ointments, poultices, and other medicines. While she prefers to live alone and only has a few close friends, Hearth gets a lot of satisfaction from making other dragons happier or more comfortable. She is not a true healer, but she spends a little time every day studying medical texts along with her other books and she is always happy when her medicines can help a sick or injured dragon. She also enjoys the gatherings and festivals where her wines and beers, and by extension herself, have become popular-- as long as she can go home whenever she tires of the festivities. Hearth has a soft but strong and resonant voice. Her movements are smooth, confident, graceful, and deliberate. Her facial expressions are always very subtle, which some find offputting at first, but her eyes are expressive in their own way and her friends are immensely satisfied whenever they can make her crack a proper smile.
