Biography
Rastaban's Logbook wrote:
Well, I must say I expected the results of these events to come but, I wasn't expecting how we got those results. Either way, the clan has a scientist now...
Rastaban opened his mouth to respond, but was stopped by a shadow in the entrance to the lair. He was surprised to see a green Bogsneak standing there. The tips of the Bogsneaks wings, his nose, and his legs, all seemed to be covered in sand before Rastaban realized that was simply how he looked. The Bogsneak seemed to be wearing bits of copper all over. His most striking feature, however, were his eyes, that seemed to be on fire. "Um, hello," the Bogsneak said, sounding nervous slightly. Rastaban, without hesitation, got up and formally greeted the Bogsneak. "I, uh, I was out looking for a new clan to live with. My previous clan... there was an accident, and our old lair is in ruins. Most of them don't want me around anymore." Rastaban considered the Bogsneak's story. Was it something the Bogsneak had done that had caused this "accident?" He was about to speak when Eltanin did so first, "Are we not going to address the fact that your eyes are on fire?" The Bogsneak seemed to hold down a laugh, "That- that was a result of the accident. I have these goggles, I just hadn't been using them." Rastaban looked back and saw Sequoia and Adofai exchanging "are you for real?" glances. "Can you even see?" Adofai then asked. "Surprisingly, yes. I have no clue as to how," the Bogsneak answered. Adofai muttered, "well, that makes one more thing we have no clues about..." Rastaban turned back to the Bogsneak, "what's your name?" The Bogsneak quickly replied, "Cupric." "Well, Cupric, I think your story has a couple holes, and the rest of the clan will probably want a say in this, but for now you can stay here."
Cupric's scientific work mostly revolves around chemistry of several kinds. He will often work with Poctli when it comes to gathering materials, and has been trying to convince Tramel, the clan's first farmer/gardener and only Nature dragon, to allow Cupric to make fertilizers for him. Furthermore, Cupric has developed a decent working relationship with Arwitz. The clan believes this came from the two being able to empathize over their disdain of others intruding on their work.
Quotes (locations in bullets):
"See, it turns out that volcanic soil is of the most fertile kinds on Sornieth... When I was still in my old clan in the Ashfall Wastes, we'd take the igneous rocks that had been brought up and basically grind them into powder and, with a bit of processing to make sure they weren't toxic or unusable, add them to the soils of the gardens we had and they ended up being incredibly bountiful."
