Hazel Froststar
Tamer - Traveler Hazel has spent her entire life on the move, wandering all over Sornieth and learning about the many creatures of the land. Hired by a merchant caravan to care for the pets they were importing and brought to Algidir by pure chance very recently. Very confused as to why random dragons keep doing double or even triple takes when they see her beastforme face... not that she's particularly comfortable with it either! |

Scratches in the Stone
Distressed was not the right word. That was how she had felt when she crossed the border and the body she'd had her entire life changed right before her eyes. She'd had warning of that. No. The way that Hazel felt now was like someone was gripping her stomach with two very large clawed hands and giving it a good shake. "I don't even LIKE this face!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands upwards then planting them on her hips and stomping her foot. The statue she had just encountered stared down at her without concern, the crown upon its head shining gilded 20 feet above in the spring sunlight. Drakescript at the base was fresh and clean, so she couldn't argue that she had misunderstood. "Queen Timber Froststar, Founder of Algidir." The dragon at the Shirik Inn had started at her name. The children stared at her face, and one elderly dragon had dropped a basket upon seeing her on the pier in Corastor. The wagon which offered her free travel to Castleton, though she had declined since she was headed south with the caravan. Here in this godsforsaken random village stood an entire MONUMENT that appeared to be a statue of her! "This can not be happening." "Whatever 'it' is, it appears to be happening." Said an amused voice from behind her. Hazel became rapidly aware of the villagers who were standing around watching her tantrum. She spun around and came face to face with the speaker. ~ Eldin might have kept walking if she hadn't been so short. It was an absurd sight: a tiny dragon stomping her feet and pouting, yelling at the statue of Timber that Queen Cedar had been so insistent on. His own beastforme was quite tall, as many spirals were. She was clearly Fae, but... well, he had only seen a fae with a temper like that once before. Their cultural taboo on open expressions of emotion was near universal. Then he opened his mouth, said something stupid, and she turned around. The dragon stepped back quickly. Aside from the scowl and the harlequin mask patterns etched across her face... it was as though the statue had come to life. Queen Cedar resembled her mother but this dirty little stranger - who was now cursing at him with a finger in his face as he stared at her, mouth agape - was Timber come again. |
