Biography

Sugarplum
Sugarplum is a traveling ballet dancer from the far reaches of the Southern Icefields. After being separated from her troupe in a series of unfortunate accidents, she has found her way to Electrician’s Edge, where she has been staying ever since. Since her ballet troupe remains missing, Sugarplum has opened her own one-dragon performances, hosted within Electrician’s Edge, while she waits for her fellow dancers’ return.

Sugarplum has trained extensively to get where she is today in the ballet scene, and she keeps a strict regimen to keep herself in tip-top shape. From dawn until dusk, she is training, stretching, practicing, exercising, performing — her entire life revolves around ballet. She doesn’t know where she would be without it.

Sugarplum keeps up her one-dragon performances because she loves the stage and she loves ballet, and performing for others is the best way to express those loves. When she was a hatchling, she saw other ballerinas perform, and they inspired her to dance — and now that she’s an adult and a professional ballerina, she wants to inspire those same feelings in others. In her mind, her one-dragon shows are a symbol of devotion to her art. However, no matter how many one-dragon shows she puts on, she knows deep in her heart that they just can’t feel the same as her shows with her troupe felt. She is lonely without them, and yearns for their reunion.

Outside of her love of ballet, Sugarplum has an intense sweet tooth. She loves sugar and candies, and almost always has something sweet on hand to pop into her mouth. Bonbons, pastries, hard candies, chewy caramels, taffies, and even the sugarplums which serve as her namesake — Sugarplum’s figurative pockets are always stuffed to the brim with sweets, and you can always tell when she’s coming, despite her dainty footsteps, by the smell of sugar. Sugarplum is normally a very kind and generous dragon, with a smile for everybody — unless someone has swiped from her candy stash. In that case, she is unafraid to rain her wrath upon them.
