It is a cross between the Japanese apricot and the purple-leaved plum cultivar Prunus cerasifera 'Pissardii'.

Blire is an odd case of draconic mutation, where his abilities resemble those of a different flight more than his own. Born in Arcane but attuned to Nature, the blossom-covered gaoler is perfectly adapted for life in both territories and has a few tricks up his sleeve to aid him. The flowers covering his body (which smell sweet and are most likely real flowers from the same genus as his name) plus the patterns on his fur make him virtually invisible when hiding amongst Arcane flora- the fur resembling bark and his mane blending in like it was made of leaves itself.

Even his eyes melt into his surroundings- but some think that they possess a slight degree of hypnotics, so that- when spotted- the eyes affect the viewer with slight amnesia (roughly the past 10 seconds) and allows Blire to escape unseen- a nod to his arcane magical heritage.
