Dev always knew they were different from most of the other Aberrations they had met, but never truly understood the scale of what the issue was until they experienced a vision one night while deep in meditation. It was on the evening of their ten month celebration of life, and the other Dragons had already tucked themselves into bed for the night. Dev had always experienced troubles with sleeping, but this evening felt especially difficult. During the party they had noticed that the other Aberrations would always finish each others sentences as they spoke. In the past they had never thought much about it, but all that was about to change.
During their meditation they had come to realize that they would always think and speak as a single mind. (Typically Aberrations will think as two separate minds that work in tandem with each other) Dev was different. They were a mutation of the species. Their minds were joined as one! - At first this felt extremely isolating and scary. Dev spent hours alone, trying to piece together their life and how to navigate the future. - How would the other Dragons treat them if they knew?
Eventually Dev realized that this fact about themselves was actually something very special and even desirable when compared to how the other Aberrations functioned. They found that because they were never caught up in both minds fighting for dominance, that they were quicker to react. They were unclouded by the dual thoughts colliding, and this made them especially good at sooo many things!
They were fully aware of how young they still are, and that there was still so much to learn about themselves and the world they live in. For now, only time will show how their story goes. And the fact that they had come to accept their differences as a gift made them quite powerful indeed.
- Loves: Bone tea, reflections on the water, and twisting their tails together.
- Dislikes: Wasting time, loud sounds, and unkept claws.
- Smells Like: Crushed grass, citrus, and smoldering ashes.
- Possibly bipolar, with some signs of autism.
