Biography

a310e254fc5a762fc0a946b591834ef5c6eb5d09.png The World Vine

Long ago, The realms were isolated, with travel between them impossible. Only the gods walked freely, meddling in mortal affairs whenever they saw fit. The gods of light sought to lock away wicked gods and mortals, sealing them far from both the living and the dead. But these prisons became hopeless mires that drew in innocent souls and compounded their misery a thousand-fold. The realms began to collapse under the weight of despair, coming apart at the seams, and all was nearly lost.

However, from one of these seeds of despair grew the World Vine. It pierced the veil with its thorns and sewed the fracturing realms together with root and tendril. All that was broken was made whole again, and our long isolation ended. We, too, could cross the vines and walk among the stars. And it was then that mortals learned: the gods do not walk among the stars because they are gods—they are gods because they walk among the stars.

The World Vine connects worlds, but dragons live among its branches as well. Whole ecosystems thrive amid the tangled vines.
